You do not have to travel far from the city to gain a rich insight into the lives, history, culture and religion of the valleys inhabitants. The trek takes you Shivapuri National Park through forests and villages where old customs and culture are still much in evidence. Shivapuri hill (2792m) is the highest point of the trek. From the top of Shivapuri the whole of the Himalayas opens up in fron of you. The great snow capped peaks of Manaslu, Boudha Himal, Ganesh Himal range, Langtang Range, Dorjeelakpa, Shisapangma and Gaurishankar are but a few of the 60 peaks on show. We also visit Nagarkot a (a hill station in a beautiful setting) and end our Journey there is Dhulikhel a well kept Newari small town which again provides some fantastic views of the great Himalayas. An ideal way to refresh yourself from the city.
