The Indigenous People Trail offers a different experience away from the busier trekking tourist routes,.it is scenic trekking at relatively low elevations, below 3,000 meters (9,800 feet). Bounded by mountain peaks to the north, the golden Sun Koshi River to the south, and the Tama Koshi River to the east, this is an unforgettable adventure. Witness magnificent views of the peaks of Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Everest, Rowaling and Kanchenjunga mountain ranges and get an insight into culturally diverse groups, including Tamang, Newars, Sherpa, Thamis, and Majhis.

The trail allows you to stay overnight in private homes in traditional villages, far from the commercialized tourist trails. Rooms are simple but well renovated, and families prepare meals to high standards. You will live life as a local and be treated as part of the family in a serene atmosphere. Visitors often get involved in local activities, from cooking classes through to attending traditional weddings or learning the local dance. Unlike commercialized routes, trekkers walk through uninhabited areas and meet few fellow travelers.

Highly recommend Nepal social treks!

We did the Annapurna circuit trek with Bishnu as our guide and Nabin and Suman as our porters. It was an incredible experience, amazing views and rewarding trekking getting to experience the nepalese culture along with way. Bishnu was very knowledgeable about the mountains, preventing altitude sickness, and was always there to help us with our crampons, poles, or anything else we needed. We were very well fed/ fuelled and he kept us laughing along the way with his funny sayings. We were always in accommodation with amazing views too. Nabin and Suman our porters, hard to summarise how incredibly hard they both work all while always having a smile on their face. We could not have done the Trek without them and are forever grateful for how hard they work. Definitely recommend going with nepal social treks it was an incredible experience.

10/10 experience with Nepal Social Treks

My sister & I just completed the Annapurna Circuit Trek with Nepal Social Treks, our guide was Bishnu. He was absolutely incredible and planned everything perfectly for us. Made sure we were extremely well fed always, to have energy for the trek & acclimatised us so we did not have altitude sickness over the trek. He made it so fun, we were singing, dancing, and having a great time while we were on the tour. Also special shout out to our porters Nobin & Sumon. They were absolutely incredible and the strongest, sweetest & happiest guys. Overall it was a 10/10 experience and I would definitely use this company again for any future Nepal treks.

I had an incredible experience doing the Manaslu Circuit trek!! As I was the only one who had booked, they paired me with another solo girl from a different company which worked super well. Our guide Nekhil was attentive, supportive and made us feel really safe. He was clearly a very experienced guide and gave us lots of tips to manage the altitude and trekking, plus having lots of fun together along the way! Our porter Chhiring was awesome too! Not only were the views incredible, it felt so nice to be ‘looked after’ and have everything taken care of so we could just enjoy ourselves. This included by the office in Kathmandu, who were so helpful and generous in giving me an extra day in a nearby hotel and lending me some gear. I couldn’t have been happier with the experience! I would definitely recommend :))

Hey, this was awesome! The Agency made all well, and especially, Ngima Sherpa is the best guide ever! He made my experience on everest view trek special and wonderful. His heartwarming, calm and respectful behaviour let me feel welcome and my needs during trek seen. He knows a lot of trekking and the insides there in the mountains, showed me all possible in that 7 days and has my full 5-star review. Always again!
